The lined bifocal is the most widely known and most used design for multifocal wearers. There are two sizes generally offered for this type of lens. A Straight (or Flat) Top 28mm lens and a Straight (Flat) Top 35mm lens. The 28mm Bifocal is the more commonly used bifocal size.
Polycarbonate has become the standard in lens materials. Polycarbonate lenses are thinner and lighter than plastic lenses but are highly impact resistant making this material excellent for children, sports wear, and safety eye needs.
