The 1.60 glass material allows for higher prescriptions to be made while controlling the overall thickness associated with standard glass materials.
Glass lenses may be the heaviest of all materials, the thickest, more limited in color and photochromatic availability, and the oldest material ever used, BUT you cannot beat the optical clarity of glass. Only a few lens companies still offer the lens blanks and these blanks are very limited in lens blank size.
The only frame types that are accepted to process by Eyelab Online are FULL metal and FULL plastic frames. Please be sure to use good judgement on the frames you would like your glass lenses made in. Large frames may not be able to be processed.

Glass orders are not processed in our own lab. Orders are shipped to a facility that maintains the equipment to process and edge glass materials and orders can take up to 3 weeks to be ready to be shipped back to you.
