This is our free form digital design for progressive no line prescriptions. Our design can be made on any lens manufacturer's lens blanks therefore can offer the widest range of materials options. The first question that is always asked of our lens....is it Varilux, Zeiss, Hoya? It's all of these and NONE of these. The actual design is by IOT and made on lens blanks made by all the mentioned lens makers. The ELO design is not brand driven, it is design driven because how well you see is more important than a brand logo.
The advantage that our ELO design has over almost all other free form designs is 7 different design options available. Each person's need even from frame to frame is going to need to be different. Have a high minus (-) or high plus (+) prescription? Want a design that works even better for digital devises? How about a progressive that is taylored specifically a driving lens. Fell in love with that huge sport frame but concerned a no line will be a visual nightmare? First time user? Having so many design options allows us to really make a lens that is a better match to what you are looking to do.
Too many optical shops both private and corporate talk up the "awesomeness" of digital free form progressives but then fall flat because the optician or sales person does not take the time to take all the appropriate measurements needed to fully take advantage of the technology. This leaves the lab producing the order to guess default information so they can start processing as soon as possible before possibly even seeing the frame. The end result can leave the customer with a very disappointing or frustrating experience. We do not start processing our lenses until we have the frame in hand so we can input all the correct information into our order. Even though this causes a few days delay to ship the final product, our commitment is getting it done right, not breaking the speed record.
